Visit Taunton Model Railway Group at its unusual Platform 1 home at Bishops Lydeard station on the West Somerset Railway. This summer Wednesday opening offers a closer look at the club’s completed OO-gauge layouts and current projects, with members available to talk about the modelling, operation and research behind them.
TMRG’s collection includes the award-winning Bath Green Park layout and a model of Bishops Lydeard in the preservation era, while work continues on Tamerig and the locomotive-shed layout Marshfield. Light refreshments are normally available at open days. Displays can change as projects develop, so check the organiser’s page before travelling.
