Stapleford Miniature Railway’s three-day August Bank Holiday opening is a rare chance to visit the private railway and ride behind its 10¼-inch-gauge locomotives through the Stapleford Estate. Train rides form the centrepiece of a broader steam-and-vintage gathering with classic cars, motorcycles, tractors, caravans, fairground attractions and trade stalls.
Food vendors and other refreshments are expected on site, with free visitor parking advertised. Published visitor information lists the event for 29–31 August, with admission and railway rides charged separately; under-fives are admitted free. Exhibits and operating locomotives can change, so check the organiser’s website before setting out.
