Kernow Model Rail Centre has announced a second production run of its exclusive OO-gauge GWR Steam Railmotor alongside a new TT:120 range of Bachmann Scenecraft buildings and accessories.

Unveiled at its Camborne shop event on 11 September, the commissions include three new Railmotor identities and Cornish industrial structures for the growing TT:120 market.

Three new Steam Railmotors

Due early 2027, the Railmotors will cost £199.99 DCC ready or £299.99 with DCC sound. The new releases are:

Reference Identity Livery
K2306 Diagram O No. 62 Fully lined GWR chocolate and cream with garter crest
K2307 Diagram R No. 98 GWR lined crimson lake
K2308 Diagram R No. 40 Simplified GWR chocolate and cream

Features include a coreless motor, illuminated interior, directional oil lamps and a PluX22 decoder socket. Sound versions use recordings from preserved Railmotor No. 93, with destination announcements matched to the supplied boards.

Kernow says the first batch sold out rapidly; the new numbers give returning customers an opportunity to expand their fleets. Further details appear in Kernow’s Steam Railmotor announcement.

The Scenecraft commissions span 11 buildings and accessories. Highlights are a £49.99 clay dry, separate £34.99 chimney and £19.99 derelict Cornish engine house.

The painted resin clay structures resemble those at Wenford Bridge and elsewhere in Cornwall. The engine house takes its inspiration from Baronet’s Engine House at Pennance Mine.

The wider range comprises:

Model Price
Corrugated goods shed £39.99
Single-road brick engine shed £42.99
Yard crane and loading gauge £29.99
Site office £28.99
Brick-built signal box £47.99
Coal staithes £7.99
SR water column and arm £19.99
GWR water crane £21.99

Pre-orders are open, with most items expected in November 2026. The brick engine shed and signal box are due early 2027.

Kernow links the Cornish range’s expansion into TT:120 to the availability of suitable Hornby china-clay rolling stock. Product details and ordering links are in Kernow’s TT:120 Scenecraft announcement. Prices and expected delivery dates are those announced on 11 September and remain subject to alteration.
