Woodland Scenics’ Just Plug Sound System was introduced to the UK market in a Bachmann Europe announcement on 10 August. The range is intended to add environmental and triggered audio to model railways, dioramas and other displays, with retailer availability forecast for November 2026.
A Sound Hub forms the centre of the system. It connects to a power supply, sound cards and speakers, and can control four individual sounds. Separate volume controls allow users to balance those effects, while additional hubs provide a route to expansion.
The announced options include prerecorded effects and blank cards for custom recordings. Micro, mini and room speakers offer different ways of placing audio around a scene. Trigger accessories include push-button, motion, magnetic-track, automatic and remote-control options.
For a scenic layout, that opens up possibilities such as a church bell or an effect activated as a train passes. The announcement concerns a layout sound system; it does not establish compatibility with any particular locomotive decoder. November was the stated availability target, rather than a confirmed delivery date for every component.
