Sometimes it is another wagon, rather than another locomotive, that gives a layout a welcome change. Dapol’s announcement of 16 September 2026 offers OO modellers a choice of milk tankers and an LMS van in its November UK production programme.
Two tanker liveries, with a choice of finish
The six-wheel milk tankers feature SATLINK and Express Dairy markings. Each is planned in pristine and weathered form, with recommended prices of £18.89 and £19.98 respectively.
- SATLINK: 4F-031-151 pristine; 4F-031-152 weathered.
- Express Dairy: 4F-031-153 pristine; 4F-031-154 weathered.
Alongside them is LMS ventilated van No. 538875: 4F-011-120 pristine and 4F-011-121 weathered.
Dapol is reviewing decorated samples and expects the models in shops in November 2026. The illustrated finishes remain subject to change.
The choice of factory finish is welcome: pristine stock provides a starting point for our own weathering, while a weathered example offers a quicker route onto the layout. As ever, choose the livery to suit the period and traffic being modelled; these are alternatives, rather than a suggested mixed rake.
