There is something very appealing about working a proper lever when setting a route. Rails of Sheffield reported on 5 October 2026 that Layout Concepts Cobalt-S point levers had returned, with single units and six-packs received.
Each lever stands 140mm tall on a 60 × 15mm base and has a brass lever with a locking catch. The electrical arrangement includes a momentary SPDT switch and two make-before-break SPDT on-on switches, giving scope for point operation and associated switching.
Spacers and etched numbers are included. Rails says further parts of the range will follow, so the report should not be read as confirmation that every accessory is already available.
For a small station or shunting layout, I can imagine a short row of these making the operating position feel much more involved. Before planning the panel, I would measure the available space and work out exactly which contacts each route requires.
This is an availability update, not a hands-on electrical review. Use the manufacturer’s instructions to establish suitability for your point motors, wiring and control system; a physical locking catch should not be mistaken for a complete interlocking scheme.
