Uckfield Model Railway Exhibition 2026 guide

Uckfield Model Railway Club’s 41st exhibition takes place at the Civic Centre on 17–18 October. The current programme names 19 layouts and incorporates Scalefour Southeast, with P4 modelling, society information, stores and demonstrations alongside a wide range of other scales.

Opening times and tickets

The exhibition opens 10am–5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Adult admission is £10, paid on the door by cash or card; advance tickets are not offered. Each paying adult can bring up to two children aged 5–15 free. Additional or unaccompanied children pay £5, and under-fives enter free. A printed guide costs £1, sponsored by Coastal DCC.

Invited layouts and trade stands

The invited layout programme includes Port de Crozon, East Lynn, Wheal Elizabeth, Marlborough 1865 and Hartburn. Further subjects include Corrieshalloch, Haverhill South, Nethercombe Quarry and A Dreary Tuesday… in the Dearne Valley. The list below reflects the club’s invited programme and remains subject to change.

The expected trade line-up includes Coastal DCC, C&L Finescale, Dart Castings, Golden Arrow Productions, Roxey Mouldings, Squires Model & Craft Tools and South Eastern Finecast. Other specialists provide kits, tools, books and scenic materials. Demonstrations are advertised through Scalefour Southeast, but a complete named demonstrator schedule is not yet published.

Travel, parking and accessibility

Use Uckfield Civic Centre, Civic Approach, East Sussex, TN22 1AE. Railway and bus stations are about five minutes’ walk away. The adjacent Luxford Field car park has 304 spaces and is free, but time limits apply. The club also confirms that parking charges are waived at Uckfield railway station for the exhibition weekend; its 171-space car park uses postcode TN22 1HS.

Layouts occupy two floors, with lift and ramp access. Viewing periscopes can be borrowed for a £5 refundable deposit. Assistance dogs are permitted. Luxfords Restaurant provides meals and refreshments, with breakfast baps advertised from 9am.

The organiser additionally advertises the 2mm Scale Association Roadshow with at least two layouts; these are not included in the 19 named-layout count. The current trade roster contains 21 expected entries, including The Wagon Yard; Branchlines and Cambrian Model Rail are no longer named. Gravelly Oak is no longer in the current layout roster.

The organiser describes Saturday trains from London Bridge via East Croydon and Oxted, and Sunday travel from Victoria via East Croydon with a change at Oxted. Recheck services before departure.
