Announcement: 7 July 2026. Retrospective report prepared on 14 September 2026.

Dapol released photographs of provisional decorated samples for its O-gauge six-wheel milk tankers on 7 July. The update marked a review stage in the project, with the design team still assessing the samples before production details were finalised.
The illustrated selection included United Dairies, Express Dairies, Unigate Creameries/St Ivel and United Dairy Wholesale vehicles. A Satlink example, ADW2952, was also shown, giving the proposed range a departmental option alongside the dairy liveries.
Announced features include sprung metal buffers, a metal screw coupling and coupling hook, and wheelsets running in brass bearing pockets. Dapol also specifies a partially compensated chassis. Its July forecast remained for shop arrivals during the first quarter of 2027.
The variety makes the project relevant to more than one layout setting, but the livery and running number still need to suit the period being modelled. These images record how the samples looked when announced; Dapol described them as provisional, so decoration and detail should not be assumed to be final. Later manufacturer updates should take precedence over this July snapshot.
