Layouts worth exploring
Batty Moss recreates the scale of Ribblehead Viaduct, while BEIJIAO presents industrial steam in north-east China. Local and regional subjects include Collingwood, Portsea, Ropley Station and Wimborne Station. Narrow-gauge modelling includes Nant Gwernol, Garreg Wen and Wickhambreux Road. The full roster below covers modern traction, steam-era scenes, overseas railways and compact shunting layouts.
Trade stands and practical advice
TMC, Lord & Butler, Squires Model & Craft Tools and Booklaw are among the retailers. Dingo Servo Mounts and Model Railway Solutions offer components, while Kelly’s Weathering Studio and Dio Dome by Freja Clarke add finishing and scenic interest. Demonstrations and specialist societies are advertised, although individual demonstrators, society rosters and timed sessions are not named on the pages checked.
Families, parking and access
The Children’s Corner lets younger visitors operate trains. A colouring competition and QR-code treasure hunt provide additional activities. The organiser describes the whole venue as wheelchair friendly, with refreshments available.
Fareham Leisure Centre is on Park Lane, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 7JU. Venue parking is free throughout the exhibition weekend, and a free heritage bus connects Fareham railway station with the show. Check the club’s latest notices for the bus timetable before travelling.
