Swansea Model Railway Exhibition 2026 visitor guide

Swansea Railway Modellers Group stages its 14th exhibition at LC Swansea on 19–20 September. The published programme combines 24 layouts with 14 traders, societies and modelling demonstrations.

Times, tickets and venue

Saturday opening is 10am–5pm and Sunday 10am–4pm. Adults pay £10, children £1 and under-threes enter free. Under-16s must be accompanied. The venue is on Oystermouth Road in Swansea’s Maritime Quarter, SA1 3ST, and the organiser describes it as wheelchair friendly.

What to see

Copenhagen Fields in N gauge joins a programme spanning live steam, S scale, EM, P4 and several narrow-gauge formats. Penfold Priory and The Running Shed represent O gauge, while Tan y Bwlch and Rheneas Tunnel offer OO9 scenes. The SRMG Junior Layout adds a younger members’ contribution.

Oxford Diecast, Squires Tools, Hereford Model Centre and TRS Trains are among the advertised traders. Society stands include Railfuture, Garw Valley Railway, 4the Region, FOYD and the host group. Demonstrations are advertised, but individual demonstrators and session times are not yet named.

Planning your visit

Allow time to compare different scales and speak to exhibitors about their techniques before visiting the trade stands. Check local parking arrangements and the organiser’s latest notices before setting out. Its event page states that dogs are not allowed; visitors requiring assistance-dog access should contact the venue directly for clarification.
