Dapol’s 14 July announcement set out a fresh run of OO-gauge MJA twin wagons in Freightliner Heavy Haul green and GBRf blue. Six catalogue references were listed, divided equally between the two operators.

Each set contains a pair of wagons and a coupling bar. The specification includes separately applied details, profiled wheels and NEM pockets with self-centring couplings. Dapol listed three different numbered pairs in each livery, giving purchasers a choice when building a longer formation.

The recommended price announced was £69 per twin set. Dapol described the project as a rerun and anticipated delivery to shops in the first quarter of 2027. This was a production forecast, not a statement that the new numbers were already available.

For modern freight layouts, the announcement offers a way to expand an existing MJA rake while varying vehicle identities. It is also worth distinguishing the price of a twin set from the price of a single wagon when comparing purchases. The manufacturer’s accompanying photographs show earlier models for illustration, rather than the completed forthcoming batch.
