Announcement: 7 September 2026. Retrospective report prepared on 14 September 2026.

Accurascale announced on 7 September that production of its Genesis coaching stock was complete, publishing photographs of finished samples. The OO-gauge range continues the generic pre-grouping coach project developed using former Hattons tooling.
The company said shipping would follow shortly, with delivery to modellers expected in mid to late October after transit, customs and final checks. That was an estimated timetable at the date of the announcement, rather than confirmation that the coaches were already in customers’ hands.
Accurascale acknowledged research assistance from the Cambrian Railways Society, Great Eastern Railway Society and North British Railway Study Group. It also said further images of the Great Eastern Jazz set and Metropolitan coaches would show a revised teak-grain treatment.
The generic nature of Genesis is useful context when choosing stock: these models are intended to offer plausible pre-grouping coaching formations, rather than a claim that every vehicle precisely matches an individual historic diagram. Work on a further batch was already underway, with details planned for early 2027. The immediate September milestone, however, was the completion of the first production run discussed in this update.
